Matt Holthe's Fleeting Thoughts

Tomorrow I get to make the FastPass+ selections for our Walt Disney World trip after Christmas. The one thing weird about this is that we're guessing, 60 days in advance, what time each day we will be at certain attractions. This is where  Touring Plans  really helps. That web site allows me to pick out what attractions we would like to see for a given day and then puts them in an order that will minimize wait times and estimate those wait times. So this allows me to guess what times I will be at the attractions with the longest wait times, so I can make the FastPass+ reservations. Of course, there's no way that we'll be able to follow those plans perfectly. Hopefully we'll be able to follow the plans relatively closely so the reservations make sense and we get to see everything we want during one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World.

Travel really, really, slowed down this year. I've been working mostly remotely (from home). My last actual travel was over two months ago - July 21-23. Nothing in August, nothing in September. So there's no way I'm going to hit my numbers on either Hilton or AA this year. But I've always said that if I was going to miss maintaining status, I'd rather miss by a lot than a little. There's no point in getting 59 segments when you need 60 for AA Platinum. I'm at 18 right now and I'd be surprised if I have 2 trips the rest of the year.
